Current competition

Categories: Juniors (Gr1-3); Intermediate (Gr4-6), Senior (Gr7-9)
Build a LEGO model according to your category theme.
Submit a creative video for social media (with stickers, words and music) less than 30sec showcasing your final design. (Add your name on the video). You can use CapCut etc. You can also just send a photo.
Entries close on 18 October 17:00. No late entries will be accepted.
All videos/photos will be posted on TCR Facebook and TechieTinkerbot TikTok.
Remember to Like, Share & Comment quickly to get more likes!
The videos with the most likes in each category will be selected as the winner.
All participants will receive a digital certificate for participating .
The winner of each category will receive an amazing prize. (See below).
There must be a minimum of 10 entries per category to be eligible for a prize.

FIRST Tech Challenge – national competition

It’s way more than building robots.

FIRST Tech Challenge teams (10+ members, grades 7-12) are challenged to design, build, program, and operate robots to compete in a head-to-head challenge in an alliance format. Participants call it “the hardest fun you’ll ever have!”

Guided by adult Coaches and Mentors, students develop STEM skills and practice engineering principles (like keeping an engineering notebook), while realizing the value of hard work, innovation, and sharing ideas. The robot kit is reusable from year-to-year and can be programmed using a variety of languages, including Java. Teams also must raise funds, design and market their team brand, and do community outreach for which they can win awards.

FIRST LEGO League – national competition

Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students ages 9-16* engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering - building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game
