RoboParade – class/club FB competition

Teams create an autonomous robotic “parade float” to follow other floats on a parade route. This year we have an open theme so the children can decide what their robots should represent.

BottleSumo – interschools / club competition

Build a robot and try to be the first to push a bottle off the table OR be the last robot remaining on the table.

WRO (World Robotics Olympiad): Explorer Challenge – national competition

Teams arrive with a pre-built robot chassis. They must program the robot on the day of competition. Teams can log a maximum of 4 scores and are awarded certificates based on their highest score. This competition has a National Final. Teams will have time prior to the competition day to prepare/test their programmes.

FLL – FIRST LEGO League – national competition

Friendly competition is at the heart of Challenge, as teams of students ages 9-16* engage in research, problem-solving, coding, and engineering - building and programming a LEGO robot that navigates the missions of a robot game.

You have an enormous interest in robotics
You are competitive and creative
You are persistent, resilient and are prepared to work hard
Your robotics marks at school are of high standard
You do not have sport on a Tuesday that will interfere with robotics

We will give an invitation letter to the successful applicants.
Parents have to give their consent to this activity.
Only one team of 2-3 learners per grade will be invited.
Your attitude and work in class will be monitored as we only have place for really dedicated, well-mannered roboticists.
